Who I am
Fei Huang, 37, in Amsterdam. B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua (2010); ten years in data science and quant trading. Then I left the industry, turned to philosophy in earnest, and walked alone through a period of depression and existential crisis.
Moved to Europe in 2023; finished an M.Sc. in AI at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2025.
I am someone who seeks knowledge, someone who pursues the sublime. Technical skill is the least of what I bring. My real passion is always people and the humanities.
In my years of crisis, Kant’s Metaphysics of Morals taught me integrity and our responsibility to others; Dostoevsky broke my complicity with nihilism, and taught me to practice active love.
This is what I’m doing now — to engage life, to create, to build connection with others, to be an entrepreneur.
